ephervex java select
Show which runtime would run a Minecraft version, and why.
With `--instance` or `--server`, shows the runtime that host would launch with, at its own Minecraft version.
Usage: ephervex java select [OPTIONS] [MINECRAFT]
Arguments:
[MINECRAFT]
Minecraft version id, e.g. `1.12.2`. Optional with `--instance` or `--server`; when given, it must be that host's version
Options:
--instance <INSTANCE>
Plan for this instance: its version, loader, and Java and JVM overrides
--json
Emit machine-readable JSON where the command supports it
--server <SERVER>
Plan for this server: its version, loader, and Java and JVM overrides
--java-path <JAVA_PATH>
Use this runtime instead of selecting one. Outranks every setting
--install
Download a managed runtime if nothing installed is compatible
-h, --help
Print help (see a summary with '-h')
ephervex java install
Download and install a managed Temurin runtime.
With `--instance` or `--server`, installs the Java that host expects: its required version, no later than the update its loader accepts. The host keeps its Java setting; when it would not use the new runtime on its own, the command prints how to pin it.
Usage: ephervex java install [OPTIONS] [MAJOR]
Arguments:
[MAJOR]
Java major version, e.g. `21`
Options:
--instance <INSTANCE>
Install the Java this instance expects
--json
Emit machine-readable JSON where the command supports it
--server <SERVER>
Install the Java this server expects
-h, --help
Print help (see a summary with '-h')
