Crate: ephervex-options (generated catalog), tools/minecraft-options

Behavior

The bundled preference catalog offers 185 Minecraft settings as global defaults, including every key binding, every graphics option and dozens of release-specific toggles. Each one needs a proven storage form for every supported release, and several have release-specific behavior outside options.txt itself: key bindings use three numbering schemes, the graphics preset replaces a group of settings at startup, and the game's data fixers rewrite entries of older files. Most of that surface is rarely wanted as a global default and has produced most of the compatibility defects found so far.

Expected behavior

The catalog offers a short, curated set whose storage has been stable across the supported releases: GUI scale, language, fullscreen, window size, field of view, render distance, simulation distance, gamma, auto-jump, cloud status, the dark loading screen, the sound volumes, the two key bindings in common use (sprint and swap offhand), and the onboarding and multiplayer-warning flags. Every other current setting is excluded with one stated reason instead of being offered. The compatibility dataset keeps its full per-release proofs, so a setting can be offered again later by adding it to the curated set. A configuration entry for a setting that is no longer offered stays in the configuration file untouched and is not applied.

Impact

Smaller defaults screen, fewer per-release failure modes, and less to verify for every new Minecraft release.
