Bundled preference catalog puts Simulation distance under Gameplay although the dataset says Video
Original description

Behavior
The bundled preference catalog crates/options/data/minecraft-preferences.json is out of step with the compatibility dataset it is generated from. The descriptor simulation_distance has category gameplay, while crates/options/data/minecraft-options.json records simulationDistance with category Video, and the 26.3 analysis gives Video too. The Minecraft defaults screen therefore shows Simulation distance under Gameplay instead of next to Render distance under Video.
python3 tools/minecraft-options/preferences.py --from-analysis <analysis of the cached releases> --check fails with "the bundled catalog does not match what these inputs regenerate". Regenerating changes only this one category.
Expected behavior
The committed catalog is exactly what preferences.py regenerates from the committed dataset, so simulation_distance is in video and --check passes.
Reproduce
- Analyze the cached releases with
tools/minecraft-options/analyze_options.py. - Run
preferences.py --from-analysis <that output> --check. - Diffing a regenerated catalog against the committed one shows only
"category": "gameplay"->"video"forsimulation_distance.
